What to Expect

A fresh breath consultation consists of a comprehensive examination of teeth and all soft tissues in the mouth.

  • On your arrival your breath will be tested using a halimeter (a specialist piece of equipment to detect some of the gases which indicate whether you have bad breath or not) along with many other painless tests.

  • We take X-rays and carry out various tests for our assessment.

  • We also take a sample of bacteria which is analysed straight away under the microscope to help with the diagnosis.

Once the diagnosis has been completed, we'll provide advice on the best course of action and advise you on how to best prevent the halitosis (Bad Breath) from recurring ever again. Normally patients are treated 4 to 6 times over a 3 month period.

Following your treatment we will advise how frequently you will need follow-up maintenance appointments, which is roughly every 3 – 6 months.

Our team of professionals are totally committed to what they do and complete confidentiality is guaranteed at all times.

They are there to help and ensure that your experience leaves you feeling excited and confident about the prospect of having fresh breath for the rest of your life!

Halitosis isn’t necessarily the easiest topic to raise with a sufferer, so just think about this…if you’re afraid to tell a friend or colleague about their breath then perhaps you too suffer and people are afraid to tell you?
